Bay Roberts Approves donations for sports team, health foundation

Bay Roberts council this week approved two donation requests.
Council first voted to donate $100 to the CBN Bulldogs Baseball team, which is representing Baseball NL as the Newfoundland and Labrador participant at the U11 AA Atlantic Championships being held in New Brunswick this month.
Council landed on the dollar amount of the donation after Town Clerk Clerk Chrstine Bradbury noted that $100 is the typical donation given to sports teams.
The donation request stipulated that the donation would not go to the CBN Bulldogs Minor Baseball Association but directly to the U11 AA team.
Council also voted to donate $1,500 to the 34th annual Trinity Conception Placentia Health Foundation Telethon, which will be held on October 1 at St. Francis school in Harbour Grace. A representative will be on hand at the event to present the donation.
Both motions passed unanimously.
