The Town of Conception Bay South last week was awarded $1,250 as part of Trans Canada Trail’s Spring 2024 Trail Care Grant program.
The monies were earmarked for trail cleanup and reinforcement on the town’s segment of the T’railway.
Through the 2024 grant program, Trans Canada Trail awarded $12,750 to communities across the province, and a total of $269,250 across Canada.
“These grants support the Trail where it really counts – at the local level,” said Trans Canada Trail CEO Mathieu Roy. “It is inspiring to see such strong interest in a nationwide effort to care for the trail that connects us all.”
June 1 marks Trail Care Day, a day when volunteers roll up their sleeves and clean up their local trails.
