Knowing that Christmas can be a challenging time for many people within our community, members of the CBS Kin this year provided 60 elementary and junior high school children with Christmas Stockings. The bags were distributed through the school system with the help of the various guidance counselors. “This program would not have been possible without the generous support of local businesses and groups,” said Kin Clun spokesperson Rosie Cairns. “These groups enabled us to fill the bags with hats and gloves, various school and hygiene products, a number of coupons and of course some treats.  The CBS Kin would like to sincerely thank Co-Operators Insurance (CBS), A&W (CBS), the Senior Blues Hockey team and the Town of CBS.  We would also like to thank Nadine Greeley, who knitted hats for our endeavor.” Helping to pack the bags were, starting in the front row, from left: club president Terry Janes, Lilly Moyles, Deborah Noseworthy, Bryce Moyles, Rhonda Nugent (Co-operators), Tracy Lawrence, Gloria Evans, and Diane Butler; and in the back row, from left: Christopher Stone, Neta Kelloway, Dave Stone, Roger Cairns, Lorne Morgan, Dave Pond, Don Butler, Blues general manager and head coach Jonathan Kavanagh, and Pat Rose, president of the Senior Blues Hockey Club.
