Another Water Street eatery on the menu for Carbonear

Carbonear council last week approved an application for a new ice cream, snack, bistro and take-away at 183 Water Street, a small building across from the parking area adjacent to Clarke’s.

The application is conditional upon the applicant meeting the requirements of the Heritage Zone, and further approval from the Department of Digital Government and Service NL.

Folks may remember that this past July, council also approved an application to open an ice cream shop at nearby 171-175A Water Street, conditional upon the required services being available, customer parking on Water Street, and approval from Digital Government and Service.

Council, during last week’s meeting, also approved a home-based excavating business on Valley Road. The approval was conditional upon the receipt any public comment following publication of the application.
