International Women’s Day

The Town of Conception Bay South marked International Women’s Day last Thursday, March 8, by hosting the second annual Celebration of Stories. Councillor Shelley Moores chaired the discussion, and a panel of guest speakers, including Deputy Mayor Andrea Gosse, RCMP Sergeant Laura Purchase, Lupin Planning Group owner Jackie McCann Scott, and Raven KASTER leads Kaitlyn Grandy and Stephanie Evans, spoke about their experiences as women in positions of leadership and challenges they’ve faced along the way. Morgan Building (better known as the new library). This year’s theme for International Women’s Day was Embrace Equity. Mark Squibb photo
