CakeyHand Dessert Factory was named this year’s recipient of the Community Business Development Corporation’s (CBDC) Newfoundland and Labrador Business Award of Distinction. In 2019, shortly after moving to Newfoundland from Armenia, Anna Paytyan began baking and selling treats from her kitchen. Four years later, Paytyan and husband Suren Margaryan opened the CakeyHand storefront on Topsail Road in Paradise. They have since opened two more storefronts and turned heads with their dessert vending machine at the Village Mall.
