Clara Oliver celebrated her 100th birthday at a party with her friends in the Age Friendly Club at Worsley Park, Chamberlains on September 22. Some 110 people were on hand, including 16 members of her own family, to give the club’s oldest member and reputed best card player their best wishes. Present at the head table were, from left, CBS Mayor Darrin Bent, Oliver’s sister Audrey Coffin who is 97, Wilfred Bartlett, Oliver’s daughter Donna Gruchy, and of course the birthday gal herself, Clara Oliver. The celebrations were followed with a game of cards.
