This month the Province is celebrating the 100th anniversary of women being granted the right to vote in Newfoundland. Leading the celebration is Harbour Grace – Port de Grave MHA Pam Parsons, who is also the minister responsible for Women and Gender Equality. Parsons paid a call on Spaniard’s Bay council last week, which is in her district, to present celebratory tee-shirts to all members on hand for that night’s regular public meeting.
