Sgt. Donald Lucas speed signs replaced
By Mark Squibb
Folks living along Sgt. Donal Lucas Drive in Paradise may have noticed two speed signs being replaced last week.
Council voted last week to replace the two fixed radar signs as they had grown past their shelf life and needed to be swapped out.
The replacements cost $11,839, HST included.
Mayor Dan Bobbett said staff use data gathered by the signs to help gauge traffic speeds and inform traffic-calming decision making, such as requesting additional RNC patrols in problem areas.
“They’re a good piece of equipment,” Bobbett concluded.
The motion was approved unanimously.
