New vendor at Topsail Beach

The Town of CBS has found a new vendor for the canteen at Topsail Beach.

Councillor-at-Large Joshua Barrett updated his colleagues on the arrangement at a recent public meeting of council.

“As folks might be aware, we have been trying to explore the potential of our canteen at Topsail Beach and we’ve secured a tenant,” Barrett said. “We were approached by an entrepreneurial couple, and they are selling both hot and cold beverages from the Topsail Beach Canteen.”

Barrett said Maitri Coffee will be operating at the canteen throughout September from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

“They’re very excited to be set up shop in Conception Bay South and with the beach and the sun we’ve been having the past few weeks they’ve quite tickled,” Barrett said. “And so I just want to give them a shout out and if folks are in the area, go down and get a cup of joe and enjoy the beach.”
