Blizzard Hockey teams compete in Lady Liberty Summer Games

Five Blizzard Hockey female hockey teams competed in Tampa, Florida recently in the Lady Liberty Summer Games. Of the five teams, four came home with medals — two gold, two silver, and a bronze. That included the U12AA team, right, many of whose players reside in CBS, which captured gold. Its members include, starting in the front from left: Assistant Captain Bella Radcliffe, Natalia Guilarte, Captain Madelyn Hearn, Ava Hughes, Aspen Shears, Marlee Callahan, and goaltender Sara Penney; in the back row, from left, are: team manager Courtney Griffiths, owner Jack Lee, Assistant Captain Kara Ledrew, Lydia Griffiths-Collins, Arabella McCarthy, Melia Corbett, Adele Leblanc, Adriana Gardner, Ella Hudson, coach Alicia MacDonald, and coach Brent Skiffington. Jack Lee of Blizzard Hockey and Gianina Radcliffe came up with the idea to have a female tournament in Florida, as male teams from the province have competed in Florida for a number of years. The Blizzard worked with the AdventHealth Center Ice Staff to make that dream come true.
