Winterfest draws crowd to CBS arena

Members of the Queen Elizabeth High Pioneers hockey team listen to the playing of the national anthem prior to the start of the first game in the annual Fred Squires Shield series against the Holy Spirit Falcons. The best of three contest is played every year as part of Winterfest in CBS and draws some of the biggest crowds of the season to the CBS Arena. The Falcons went on to beat the Pioneers 2-0. Game 2 of the series has been rescheduled to Sunday, because of this past week’s storm. Shown here, from left, are: Nathaniel Leonard, Jack Jerrett, Colin Jefford, Ronan Reid, Luke Rideout, Charlie Dawe, Andrew Barrett, Lucas LeDrew, Rylan Tilley, Jacob LeDrew, Drew Parsons, Declan Flynn, Caleb Whelan, Noah Stokes, Will Hart, Jade Parsons, Jesse Harnum, and Ethan Gilbert.
