Paradise approves repairs for snowblower

Paradise council last week approved repairs for one of the Town’s Larue D60 snowblowers.

Councillor Patrick Martin explained that the unit was brought to the local Larue dealership in March, as the vehicle was experiencing power failure.

The dealership identified several problems with the unit, including interior corrosion, and estimated a cost of $12,414, HST included, to repair the vehicle.

Martin noted that 50 percent of the total cost would be for labour and diagnostic work.

Council voted unanimously to approve the repairs.

The snowblower is the most recent of a number of other Town vehicles that have undergone repairs lately.

Back in April, council approved $16,233 in repairs for a Larue D60 loader mounted snow blower, $19,628 in repairs for a 2016 garbage truck, and $14,000 for Zamboni repairs.

During the previous meeting of council, held on June 20, council approved repairs to two front end loaders, one at a cost $17,239, HST included, and a second at $24,300.

All prices are inclusive of HST.
