Dirt bikers caught riding in Chamberlains Park, says Barret

With its groomed trails, pristine wetland and carefully tended flowers, Chamberlains Park is about the last place you’d want to see dirt bikes, but CBS Councillor-at-Large Joshua Barrett said a video recently captured evidence of just that.

“Chamberlains Park! Using a dirt bike! Honestly!” said Barrett. “Anyways, I was shocked, and residents captured them on camera and provided it to the RNC and fines were laid, and it’s also under extra patrol of our (Town) enforcement. Common sense would say, don’t use dirt bikes in Chamberlains Park, but apparently some people are lacking that. Either way, charges were laid, and I certainly encourage folks to keep that in mind moving forward, whether it’s in Chamberlains Park or on other trails in our community.”

Fellow councillor Paul Connors, who has been spearheading the Town’s effort to open a trail for ATV riders in CBS also deplored the incident. Connors said it was an example of irresponsible ATV users who don’t represent the vast majority of responsible riders.
