Some 53 runners participated in the Paradise Running Club’s Figure 8 Race on Sunday as part of the Town’s annual SunSPLASH festival. The top three female runners were, from left: Shivonne Wilson (with 4-year old daughter Ally), who came in second place, which was a tremendous performance given it was her very first race; first place winner Laura Hawes (with baby Aria, who is 8 months old); and Michelle McCarthy, who took third spot in the 8-km long competition. The course winds around both Octagon Pond and Neils Pond.
