‘The deal is done’
Dear Editor:
All the political rhetoric and partisan disagreements over the Churchill Falls “deal” is getting us nowhere.
In reality we have zero say in what is really happening.
In case you missed it, why did Mark Carney show up to finalize the deal?
Tony Wakeham has had his hands tied by Ottawa. He has been outtrumped by Carney pushing his agenda ahead of the wishes of Newfoundlanders.
Turns out that Carney needs 50 Megawatts of extra power to run the Alto high speed electric train.
No matter how much provincial politicians fight and bicker among themselves their actions are meaningless against the tyranny of Carney and his radical net zero agenda and his vision of electrifying the country.
Bawl and rave all you want but we have no say. The deal is done, pushed by Ottawa.
Wakeham was outtrumped by Carney. Accept it. It’s fact.
