ATV committee revving to go on backwoods trail choices

Conception Bay South’s ATV Trail Committee is getting closer to nailing down the coordinates for an off-road route to run along the southside of town to connect with the T’Railway in Holyrood.
Deputy Mayor Andrea Gosse and councillor-at-large Warrick Cluney attended a meeting of the committee in September for an update on its work.
“They went over some proposed trail options that they’re looking at for the ATV trail that they are planning to build in the near future,” Gosse said last week. “They have three options within the Conception Bay South boundaries and they’re going to be meeting with the whole of council on November 21 to go over those trails because some of them might need some decisions of council to move that forward. They are very anxious to get this moving; they want to do their Crown Lands application.”
The route will require the use of Crown Land. Earlier this year, the Town of CBS amended its development regulations to provide for such a route.
