Nominations open for Bay Roberts Athletic Awards

Bay Roberts is now accepting nominations for the community’s 2026 Athletic Awards.

The annual ceremony includes athlete awards, team awards, and sports volunteer awards. In addition, there is the Kevin and Langdon Critch Builder Award, which will be presented to an individual who has aided the growth of sports in the community over the years.

The ceremony will also include new inductions into the town’s Sports Hall of Fame. Mayor Geoff Seymour announced earlier this summer that the hall of fame award will be renamed in honour of Ward Gosse, the accomplished Bay Roberts athlete who passed away early last year.

The award ceremony will take place on October 1.
