Postponed in July due to weather, the Harbour Grace Splash Centre’s annual pride celebration took place August 6th. As in previous years, Communities Against Violence partnered with the Splash Centre for the event, which included a barbecue, cake, and games. Campers and councillors with the Splash Centre’s summer day camp were in attendance, many with rainbows painted on their cheeks, waving paper pride flags they had coloured. Among the attendees were Deputy Mayor Dr. Gary Baker, centre, his wife Joy Baker, left, and councillor Christina Hearn wearing festive rainbow accessories. Olivia Bradbury photo
