More Conception Bay North communities have been gifted trees donated by the Presentation Sisters. To celebrate their order’s 250th anniversary, the Sisters are donating 100 trees to different places and organizations. The Stewardship Association of Municipalities has been distributing the trees to some of its members in CBN, including most recently, Bay Roberts and Carbonear. In Bay Roberts, two serviceberry trees were planted in Shearstown Gardens, while in Carbonear a yellow birch was planted at the St. Patrick’s Organic Community Garden, which happens to be the site of the former St. Clare’s School, which was run by the Presentation Sisters.
