South River hosts second annual Pony Walk
Due to the great reception to the South River Newfoundland Pony Walk held in July, the Town decided to hold a second walk on August 13th. The event was hosted by the Town’s summer students. Participants met on Foley’s Hill and trekked to the Newfoundland Pony Heritage Pasture in South River. Many ponies awaited, including some foals. The animals were friendly and content with all the attention, allowing people to pet and photograph them. Refreshments were available at a gazebo set up partway along the trail.
