Upgrades still in works at CBS wastewater plant

By Craig Westcott

Jewer Bailey Consultants has been hired to provide consulting and administrative services for the phase two of the upgrades to the CBS wastewater treatment plant.

The company will be paid $106,925 plus HST for overseeing the work.

“This is following work we recently completed on phase one for a wastewater plant assessment,” said councillor-at-large Joshua Barrett. “Based on that, it was recommended that we do a phase two. This fee includes some complex mechanical and electrical work to be done over the coming weeks and months.”

Jewer Bailey also conducted the phase one assessment of the plant at a cost of some $73,000 plus HST. That contract was awarded in late 2024.
