Lodge donates to Food Bank

Members of the Prince of Orange Loyal Orange Lodge No. 23 in Kelligrews recently presented a cheque to the CBS/Paradise Food Bank on behalf of The Loyal True Blue and Orange Home of Richmond Hill, Ontario. In the Christmas Sentinel, the Ontario lodge members offered to donate $1,000 to any registered charity sponsored by a fellow lodge. On hand for the presentation were, from left: Prince of Orange Lodge Treasurer Randy Butler, the Food Bank’s Faye Dawe, Worshipful Master Derek Tizzard and Recording Secretary Donald C. Smith. The Prince of Orange brothers thanked their fellow brothers and sisters at the Loyal True Blue & Orange Home for their generosity. The Richmond Hill Lodge was founded in 1921 and operated the home as an orphanage for many years. These days, the Lodge members operate it as a childcare centre.
