St. George’s Elementary Grade 4 student Lucas Porter held one of the most responsible positions in Conception Bay South recently when he was declared Fire Chief for a Day. Porter spent the morning working with the firefighters, exploring the fire trucks, testing equipment, working on a fire hose and taking part in a mini training exercise. His class was treated to a presentation by Fire Chief Chad Murphy and Lucas ended his day with a special ride home aboard a fire truck.
