All Saints Anglican Parish hosted Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador Diocese Bishop Sam Rose last Wednesday for a dedication of the parish’s 80-niche Dunn’s Hill Road Cemetery columbarium. A columbarium is an above ground structure used for storage of funeral urns and is becoming more common as more people choose cremation over traditional burial. Following a prayer and scripture reading, the bishop blessed each corner of the columbarium. St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Upper Gullies also has a columbarium.
