New mural unveiled in Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre

The Town of Paradise unveiled a new mural in the Rotary Paradise Youth and Community Centre last month. The mural was a joint project between Holy Family School in Paradise and L’école Rocher-du-Nord in St. Johns, and overseen by artist Jean-Pierre Arcand and Canadian Parents for French–NL through La Francoderole’s Create to Get Closer Program. Holy Family School was one of only 15 schools from five provinces across the country that participated in the program in 2024-2025. The mural identifies Newfoundland, Canadian, and French culture, and boasts a number of Paradise landmarks, such as the old Octagon Hotel and Holy Family School.
