Patrick ‘Pad’ Healey was awarded a Recreation Newfoundland and Labrador 2025 Recreation Volunteer Award at the Recreation NL Conference held in Grand Falls earlier this month. A lifelong resident of Chapel’s Cove, Healey was given the award in recognition of his work to revitalize the Harbour Main-Chapel’s Cove-Lakeview playground and ballfield. The revamped playground and ballfield are in the final stages of completion. Town staff successfully applied for an Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program (ICIP) grant in the amount of $363,613 to cover the cost of the project.
