CBS to undergo major haul of recreation bathrooms

The Town of CBS will upgrade the change rooms at the Recreation Complex at a cost of $431,397, HST included.
“In our budget this year we allocated funds to do some upgrades that we felt were much needed,” said Deputy Mayor Andrea Gosse during council’s May 6 public meeting. “This upgrade will include upgrades to the male, female, and family change rooms at the Recreation Complex. The upgrades will improve the overall space of each change room, making them more accessible and inclusive for all users.”
The Shoreline followed up with town staff afterwards who added the upgrades will include more private change areas and a new layout that will remove barriers and improve accessibility.
The tender was awarded to Eastern Contracting.
