Crocker and crew on the fly in Europe
Provincial Tourism Minister Steve Crocker was busy getting his passport stamped last week, as he led a delegation from Newfoundland to three world capitals.
The purpose of the trip was to promote WestJet Airlines’ direct routes to Dublin, Ireland, London, England and Paris, France.
Crocker was accompanied by officials from the Department of Tourism, the St. John’s International Airport Authority, Destination St. John’s and WestJet.
According to a statement from his office, Crocker planned to attend the World Holiday Show in Dublin, the Destination Holiday Show in London, as well as “meet-and-greet events” with travel trade journalists to promote Newfoundland and Labrador as a travel destination.
