Paradise council recognized Oct. 1-7 as National Breastfeeding Week during the Oct. 1 public meeting. This year’s theme is “Closing the gap: breastfeeding support for all.” Roberts said this province has one of the lowest rates of breastfeeding in the country, and that one barrier to breastfeeding continues to be the stigma against public breastfeeding.
