Watch out for new crosswalk, says Holyrood councillor

Holyrood’s public safety committee chairman Bruce King is asking drivers to take care around a new crosswalk at the bottom of Mountainview Drive and its intersection with Brophy’s Road and the Conception Bay Highway.

“That is one of the places too that a lot of times the traffic is speeding down there,” he said. “You have to be cognizant of the fact that it is a crosswalk and there are a lot of kids up in Mountain View and that’s where they cross (the main road) to get onto the bus. So, people need to be aware of that and be cautious of that fact.”
