CBS sets date for first Half Marathon

The Town of CBS is looking for volunteers to man hydration stations during its first T’Railway Trek Half Marathon set for Sunday, September 29.

“The race is going to start from the College of the North Atlantic in Seal Cove and will end at Topsail Beach,” councillor-at-large Joshua Barrett announced at last week’s public council meeting. “So, the majority of the race is going to be on the T’Railway, and we all know how beautiful that walk and run is along the coastline, and so we anticipate we’ll have a few folks from all over the province come and participate in that. This is going to be our first time doing it.”

Details about registering for the event will be available in the coming days, Barrett added.

“If you want to host a hydration station or something along the trail, we’ll certainly be happy to have you or your organization involved,” Barrett said.
