Girls were strongly represented in the second annual Sam Jam ball hockey tournament played on the grounds of Admirals Academy earlier this month. Among them were the CBS-based Goal Diggers, top left photo, and the Conception Bay Centre-based Slap Shot Sisters, top right photo, who squared off in the opening game of the Girls ages 10 and 11 group. They met again in the championship game with the Slap Shot Sisters capturing gold.
