CBS contemplating rib festival for next summer

BBQ fanatics may be intrigued to learn the Town of CBS is thinking about hosting a rib festival this coming summer.

The topic was broached during the recreation committee meeting on November 28.

According to the minutes of the meeting, the potential for hosting such an event was discussed, and it was decided that recreation director Nick Miller will keep the members in the loop as more details become available.

The topic wasn’t broached during this week’s public council meeting, though the meeting minutes were approved by council.

Should the Town decide to host the festival, it would be joining a growing number of neighbouring communities in the region that have done so.

The Town of Holyrood hosted its first Rib Fest in the summer of 2022, and The Town of Paradise hosted a Rib Fest this past summer.
