Bay Roberts councillors set for flurry of budget talks

The Town of Bay Roberts hopes to adopt Budget 2024 on December 12.

That’s according to the schedule as outlined by Town CAO Nigel Black during last week’s public council meeting.

While staff were set to meet this Tuesday, October 3, for a planning session, the first official meeting is scheduled for October 17. Further meetings are scheduled for November 21 and 22. Black allowed that, if necessary, more planning meetings will be held before council adopts the budget during a public meeting tentatively scheduled for December 12.

The chief administrative officer asked that any councillors who may be out of town for the meetings arrange to attend virtually by video conference.
