Frank Roberts Junior High hockey team and Paradise Intermediate making history
Both the Frank Roberts Ravens Female Junior High hockey team and a squad from Paradise Intermediate made history last week in the annual tournament. The 18th incarnation of the tourney was organized by Christine Rowe, a teacher at Frank Roberts. The games were played over 11 days and featured three divisions, a tier 1 division, tier 2 division and a female division. It was the first year for the female tournament. The games were played at CBS Arena and Robert French Memorial Stadium. The tier 1 final featured Mount Pearl Intermediate and St. Paul’s Junior High. The Tier 2 final featured Paradise Intermediate and the Carbonear Sentinels. The female final featured McDonald Drive Junior High and the host Frank Roberts Ravens.
