Technical difficulties beset Paradise webcast

Technology is great — when it works, but it wasn’t working in Paradise April 4th.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the Town of Paradise, like many communities, has live streamed its public meetings over the internet.

Paradise council has since opened council chambers to the public, but continue to livestream meetings online.

Technical difficulties, however, prevented the April 4 meeting from being livestreamed.

Council went ahead with the meeting, as there were visitors in attendance in the council chamber.

Archived audio of the meeting will not be made available to the public, though the minutes will be posted to the Town’s website following approval at this week’s meeting.

The current system has been in place for about three years and was implemented during the pandemic.
