Paradise hosted over a dozen teams of Bantam aged hockey players last week for the U13 provincial championships, and those teams had a surprise for councillor Elizabeth Laurie. Members of the Paradise Warriors U13 team presented Laurie with a banner signed by all the teams and bearing the mantra ‘We Believe.’ Laurie chose ‘Believe’ as her word of hope for 2023 as she continues her battle with cancer.
