There were scallywags aplenty, some brandishing broadswords, others bearing patches and scars manning Topsail Beach this past Saturday as they awaited the arrival of pirate boats. The annual excursion, which this year was sponsored by Tim Horton’s, drew a horde of children and adults alike to the beach amid boiling hot temperatures and sunny skies.
