Christopher Pratt honoured with special event

There was a crowd at the Road to Yesterday Museum & Christopher Pratt Gallery last weekend for a special event celebrating the work of famous Newfoundland artist Christopher Pratt, who passed away in June at the age of 86. Pratt had, over the years, donated pieces to the gallery for a permanent collection of his work in honor of his late mother Christine Dawe, a Bay Roberts native, and in 2013, Darryl and Marlene Fry of the Fry Family Foundation began loaning pieces to the Gallery from their private collection to promote the work of local artists. From left to right are two of Christopher’s children, Ned and Barbara Pratt, Bay Roberts Heritage Society Chairman Eric Jerrett and Fry Family Foundation Vice President Marie Burt and President Paul Burt.
