BRIGHT AS A DAISY—Clare Oliver was the centre of attention at the CBS Age Friendly Club on September 21 as members celebrated her 101st birthday. Oliver’s sister Audrey Coffin will mark her 99th birthday in January. “They are two of our most valued members and know their cards well and can play as well as anyone,” said club founder Capt. Wilfred Bartlett. “They are an inspiration for the rest of our members.” Joining Oliver and her sister at the party were, from left: CBS councillor-at-large Christine Butler, who presented the birthday lady with a plaque from the town, Bartlett, and Oliver’s daughters Donna Gruchy and Joyce Mitchell.
