Harbour Grace is the latest CBN town to get a tree from the Presentation Sisters as they mark their 250th anniversary. Council planted the tree September 10 near the boardwalk at the Harbour Grace Estuary. Participating in the planting were, from left: Joy Baker of Earhart’s 50+ Club, Recreational Director Cheryl McCarthy, former councillor Gordon Stone, Lona Stone, Deputy Mayor Gary Baker, councillors Keith Skinner and councillor Sherrie Reynolds, Mayor Terry Barnes; Karleena Squires of the Stewardship Association of Municipalities and Harbour Grace’s economic development officer Matthew McCarthy.
