Patching it up in Kelligrews

Two Kelligrews streets are in for a bit of patch work this fall.

Modern Paving has been contracted by the Town of CBS to patch the pavement on Marvel Place at a cost of $41,125 plus HST.

Marvel place is located off Gully Pond Road and runs behind the Piper’s building.

Farrell’s Excavating, meanwhile, has been hired to patch Anthony’s Road at a cost of $119,430. 

There were no details in council’s public agenda package on what other companies, if any, bid on the work, or how much they bid.

“This is just some patchwork on the roads until we’re in a position to pave the full roads,” said councillor-at-large Joshua Barrett.
