Paradise adds name to W&S priority list

The Town of Paradise has added Milton Road to its water and sewer priority list at a resident’s request.
Deputy Mayor Kimberley Street, during the May 13 public meeting, explained there is a section of Milton Road not serviced by sanitary sewer that is not yet included on the Town’s water and sewer priority list, and that a resident had requested Milton Road be added to it.
To that end, council agreed to add the street to the bottom of the priority list.
“This is pretty straightforward,” said Street. “We’re going to add the unserviced section to the end of the priority list like we do with any other that had come in before it.”
Excluding the addition of Milton Road, there are nine roads remaining on the priority list — Neary Road, Windmill Road, Bayview Heights, Carberry Place, Drovers Road, Dakota Place, Topsail Pond Road to Topsail Pond River, Harcourt Road, and Gosse’s Road. The Town has secured funding for five of those roads – Neary Road, Windmill Road, Bayview Heights, Carberry Place, and Drovers Road – and plans to complete work on them this year.
