Both the CBS Fire Department and the Paradise station crew of the St. John’s Regional Fire Department opened their doors November 29 to accept donations of non-perishable food for the CBS – Paradise Food Bank. It’s the first year the Paradise station joined the CBS crew in staging the foodraiser. The firefighters at Station 1 in Kelligrews have been doing it for several years. Among those dropping by to make a donation in CBS was Jacob Starkes, who handed over his family’s contribution to firefighter Patrick Coffey.
