CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH

Salvation Army CBS Corps, Christmas Toy Hamper Application and Registration, November 26-27 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. daily. Clients must apply in person and provide ID with proof of address, MCP cards for everyone in household, proof of income (cheque stub or latest tax return) and proof of shared custody (if applicable). Topsail United Church Coffee Group Christmas Bake & Craft Sale on Saturday, November 29, from 10 until 1 p.m. All are Welcome.

LOL Lodge #181, on Lodge Road, Foxtrap will hold a card game and lunch of soup and sandwiches at 12 noon on November 29. Cost $10 per person. All are welcome.

Topsail United Church Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 6 from 8 until 11 a.m. Usual great menu. Adults $10 and $5 for children under 12. Face Painting, Pictures with Santa and Coloring. All Are Welcome.

Free Seniors Christmas Singalong and Social at the CBS Library, Friday, Dec 12 from 2:00- 4:00pm. This event is sponsored by The CBS Library Board and will have Ukulele accompaniment, snacks and prizes. 

Worsley Park 50 Plus Club. Come join us!  Every Wednesday – Game of 120’s card game.  Doors open at 1 p.m., $5.00 per week just for cards. Pay $25.00 per month includes meal, card game and dance.  Every Thursday a game of Corn Hole, doors open at 1p.m., admission is $3.00.  Every Friday – Darts- Starting September 5, 2025, $3.00 per week, doors open at 1 p.m.   First Saturday of each month Open Mike – doors open at 6 p.m., admission is $5.00.

The Kiwanis Club of Kelligrews is offering a resource centre for new Canadians, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Assistance with job search, resumes, locating housing and more. Join us at 925 CBS Highway.

Aurora Women’s Choir are accepting virtual auditions. We want to hear your voice and are looking for Female-identified singers who sing Soprano and Alto. Coastal Sounds Community Choir are accepting new Members.  No Experience necessary, all are welcome.  Come and join a warm community who want to hear your voice.  Rehearsals are Wednesday Evenings from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., in CBS Starting in September. The Age Friendly Club will be having a card game on Mondays @1:30p.m. at the Worsley Park Building in CBS.  Cost to play – $2.00.  All monies will be given out for a total of 10 cash prizes.  Would you like to get out for afternoon, play a friendly game of cards, a chance to meet other people; make friends and have a cup of tea.  If you don’t have a ride, give me a call, maybe we can work something out.

Chase the Ace in aid of Cape Broyle Church Committee at Riverside Restaurant and Lounge. Ticket sales Sunday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Draw at 7:45 p.m. Also 50/50 tickets are on sale. Jackpot growing weekly.

ST. JOHN’S

The St. John’s Retired Citizens Association on Bennett Avenue have some spaces available in the senior’s choir on Wednesdays at 12:15, low impact exercise group on Tuesdays 4:30 – 5:30 and Nia ageless grace movement exercise group on Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:15.
