PARADISE

• Paradise Rotary Youth – Community Centre. Paradise 50+ Adventure Club Card Game, Bingo, 50/50 and Door Prize every Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Darts every Monday at 1:30 p.m. For further information about our club and our programs, please call 709-730-0950.

• St. Edward’s Parish, 2696 Topsail Road, CBS/ Paradise, will be having a Fall Fair on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm. in St. Edward’s Parish Hall. There will be many events: Goods Spin Wheel, Crafts, Baked Goods, Cake Auction, Bottle Table and other events.  There will also be a door prize. Drop by for an enjoyable afternoon.

CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH

• Wool Time: Date-October 15, 2025 Time- 2:00-3:00 p.m. Location-Conception Bay South Public Library In celebration of Wool Month in Canada, the CBS Library Board is hosting a demonstration of wool crafts. This will include a look at the process from “Sheep to Shawl,” preparing local raw fleece and spinning it, as well as other crafts you can make with wool.

• All Saints Parish ACW of Foxtrap will be hosting a Harvesting Thanksgiving Luncheon and Card Game on October 16th at 12:30 p.m. Meal will be a Jiggs Dinner, dessert will be a steamed pudding, tea/coffee. Cost for meal $20.00, Cards $5.00. For more information call; Barb 834-4795 or Dot 834-5052.

• The C.L.B. Youth Organization September Registration. Are you between the ages of 5-19? Looking to make new friends and develop new skills while having fun? Come join our vibrant community of young people who are shaping the future. The C.L.B. offers opportunities for personal growth, leadership development and community engagement. • Chase the Ace in CBS, Mondays 4 pm-8 pm, Shenanigans Bar and Grill – 538 Conception Bay Highway, CBS. Cash Sale only. Lucky ticket holder must be present within 15 minutes of draw. Jackpot continues to grow, currently over $5,000. All proceeds go to support the local youth Scouts movement and Camp St. George.

• Worsley Park 50 Plus Club. Come join us!  Every Wednesday – Game of 120’s card game.  Doors open at 1 p.m., $5.00 per week just for cards. Pay $25.00 per month includes meal, card game and dance.  Every Thursday a game of Corn Hole, doors open at 1p.m., admission is $3.00.  Every Friday – Darts- Starting September 5, 2025, $3.00 per week, doors open at 1 p.m.   First Saturday of each month Open Mike – doors open at 6 p.m., admission is $5.00.

• The Kiwanis Club of Kelligrews is offering a resource centre for new Canadians, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Assistance with job search, resumes, locating housing and more. Join us at 925 CBS Highway.

• Aurora Women’s Choir are accepting virtual auditions. We want to hear your voice and are looking for Female-identified singers who sing Soprano and Alto. • Coastal Sounds Community Choir are accepting new Members.  No Experience necessary, all are welcome.  Come and join a warm community who want to hear your voice.  Rehearsals are Wednesday Evenings from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m., in CBS Starting in September. • Benefit dance for Brendan Hartery on Friday, October 10^th at the hall in Portugal Cove South. Music by Brian Finn starting at 9 p.m. – All Welcome – Come out and help support one of our own!

• Chase the Ace in aid of Cape Broyle Church Committee at Riverside Restaurant and Lounge. Ticket sales Sunday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Draw at 7:45 p.m. Also 50/50 tickets are on sale. Jackpot growing weekly.

• The St. John’s Retired Citizens Association on Bennett Avenue have some spaces available in the senior’s choir on Wednesdays at 12:15, low impact exercise group on Tuesdays 4:30 – 5:30 and Nia ageless grace movement exercise group on Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:15.
