Paradise to show employees that it cares

By Mark Squibb

Paradise council earlier this month voted to expand the Town’s employee recognition program.
An employee recognition policy was implemented in 2018 to acknowledge workers at designated service intervals beginning at 10 years of employment and moving upwards to retirement.
That policy has since been updated to add a new section, ‘Gifts as Expressions of Care,’ which will see staff presented with gifts to recognise events both joyous and sorrowful, such as births, adoptions, hospitalizations, at-home recoveries, and bereavements.
“The Town of Paradise is committed to recognising and acknowledging the valuable contributions employees make in the organization at designated service intervals up to retirement,” said councillor Larry Vaters.
Mayor Dan Bobbett voiced his approval of the policy, and the motion passed unanimously.
