I strongly disagree with this development. It should not occur in the middle of a residential neighborhood that only has single and two story homes.

It does not fit in this area and should be considered in an area that will not negatively impact existing homes.

I have lived in the community for over 91 years and I strongly disagree with this development. A 6-7 story building does not belong in the middle of our residential town area and it would negatively impact so many areas or our community.

I strongly disagree with considering rezoning the area between Anchorage Road and Talcville Road from medium density to high. A 6-7 story building in that area will forever change the landscape and the beauty of the downtown area. It will also add a lot of pressure on our infrastructure and fire department. It is also a marsh area that collects runoff from the area and filters contaminates before it runs out into the ocean. Above all it would be an eyesore to the community. How can you place a 7 story building in the middle of a residential area that only has single or two story homes. I would see this as I look the windows from the back of my home and it would certainly not be want you want to see in our beautiful rural community. I am not opposed to development but a better location for something like this would be at the Legion Road where it would not negatively impact any existing homes. Please do not ruin the town of CBS with this development.

I am a home support worker who has been with my client 9 years. I love my work, I love my client but the time has come for me to explore other options. Minimum wage is now 16.35 in Newfoundland. I am being paid 17.05 for a job with in lots of cases more responsibility. I administer meds, I inject insulin, I bathe and wipe my clients behind. I can go to work at a restaurant and have less stress and with tips easily supplement my Tiny wage discrepancy. In the western health district there is a lot of rumbling of support workers considering just that.

My question is: What will you do with these now workerless clients that you claim you want to keep at home? Do you have space in facilities to place them right away? They cannot wait days or weeks they need care. Do you have workers you can put in place? I know in my district they are crying for workers. People aren't applying for the reason of wages and responsibility.

Please do the right thing, be fair. We are asking for fair wages that is it. We are not even getting cost of living raises when minimum wage goes up. There are so many disgruntled workers in my area you are soon going to find a crisis a hand. Please do the right thing.

Hats off to Mayor Crawley on putting it out there !!!
Let’s hope that other mayors in surrounding communities do the same .
Bullying and harassment take place everywhere and often times is brought to the table at council meetings .
Threats , accusations , demeaning ones character and that of their family’s has been tolerated and allowed to continue for long enough in the small communities of Conception Bay Center l
In Hr Main a land dispute snowballed into just that resulting in community despair , charges being laid and reputations tarnished .
When this occurs councils need to look at putting into place Harassment policies to protect all involved .
Mr Squibb you were at one of those meetings where this took place. I too was there and was the community recipient of such harassment for two years .
Love to share my part of the story with you … since you only heard and reported the other !!!
WTG Mayor Crawley we need more like you serving our communities !

One can electrolyze our natural gas into Jet Fuel! Blend that Jet Fuel with an equal volume of Regular gasoline and you have 2 volumes of synthetic Octane gasoline!! Just like the Octane gasoline we had in almost every gas station in the 1980’s! It has almost the power of Regular gasoline, It creates more engine warmth and it runs on 30% less Carbon! Less soot for our atmosphere, Less soot for our engines! I estimate the Grand Banks have seen their oil reserves bake into Natural Gas. What a time for me to invent how to convert that Natural Gas back into synthetic Octane gasoline! I estimate that there're > 800 TCF of natural gas to be found on our Grand Banks!
