Paradise Rotary Youth – Community Centre. Paradise 50+ Adventure Club Card Game, Bingo, 50/50 and Door Prize every Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Darts every Monday at 1:30 p.m. For further information about our club and our programs, please call 709 730-0950.

CONCEPTION BAY SOUTH

All Saints Parish Hall Bingo, every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Doors open 6:30 p.m.  We play 16 games all cash prizes. Come with a friend or two and enjoy a game of Bingo. Any questions call Helen 834 4169.

St. Peter’s Parish CBS will hold its annual Fall Sale on Saturday, November 2nd. Events include Morning Coffee $10 and Sale of Baked Goods at 10 a.m. Eat in Turkey Cold Plate 6 p.m., $20 To book your ticket call Betty 709-834-9673 or Ruby 709-744-2060. Card Game at 8 p.m. $5. Toonie table and silent auction during the day.

Topsail United Church Memorial Hymn sing will be held on Sunday, November 3rd at the 10:30 a.m. service. As we remember and celebrate, through the gift of music the special people in your lives. If you wish to leave a dedication please contact the Church Office at 709-834-4567. Requests should be received by Wednesday, October 30.  

Fall Market. St John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 20 Rectory, CBS.  November 16, 9:30-2:30.  A combination of local vendors and church sales.  Cold plates available for takeout.  Lunch served at 11:00.

St. Edward’s Parish, Conception Bay South, is hosting a Fall Fair on Sunday, November 17th at 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. Games of chance, door prize, etc. available.

The Kiwanis Club of Kelligrews is offering a resource centre for new Canadians, Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Assistance with job search, resumes, locating housing and more. Join us at 925 CBS Highway.

Worsley Park 50Plus Club – Cards every Tuesday at 8:00p.m. and Wednesday’s at 2:00 p.m.. Darts on Friday at 2:00 p.m..  Open Mic, Saturday, November 2, 2024, doors open at 6:00 p.m., show starts at 7:00 p.m. 

Frank Roberts Junior High business students are hosting a fall fair November 24th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fall fair will take place at Frank Roberts school 350 Foxtrap Access Road.

A free event is happening at The CBS Town Library. All seniors are welcome to attend. No registration is necessary. It’s a Christmas sing along to get you in the holiday spirit. On Wednesday, Dec.4 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Refreshments to follow and a few prizes. Sponsored by CBS Library Board.

Southern Cross Sea Cadets Alumni Association will be laying a wreath on Remembrance Day at the cenotaph in Holyrood. Former members of Southern Cross are asked to form at the community centre at 10:30. 

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 64 Holyrood – Every 2nd Sunday has a Sunday Matinee featuring local talent from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Come and join us for a day of friendship and listening to music.

The St. John’s Retired Citizens Association on Bennett Avenue have some spaces available in the senior’s choir on Wednesdays at 12:15, low impact exercise group on Tuesdays from 4:30- 5:30 and Nia ageless grace movement exercise group on Thursdays from 3:15-4:15.
